WAIPARA WINE TOUR

Our Waipara Wine Tour takes you to award-winning Waipara wineries such as Pegasus Bay, Waipara Springs, Torlesse, Greystone, Waipara Hills, Georges Road, Black Estate, where you can taste many wines and view the vineyards.   You will have time to walk through a vineyard, inspect the vines, and see first hand where the grapes come from.

The South Island of New Zealand has some of the southernmost vineyards in the world, with climatic conditions producing wines that are distinctive and unique.  The Waipara Valley in north Canterbury, is Canterbury's premier wine-growing region, and is about 50 minutes' drive north of Christchurch. Waipara is one of the fastest growing wine producing regions in New Zealand, currently boasting over 80 vineyards and wineries. The region is an ideal cool-climate grape growing area, with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc dominating local plantings. Recent investment in the region by some of New Zealand's larger wine producers, means that Waipara is set to become a major player in the New Zealand wine industry.

Your Waipara Wine Tour includes: central Christchurch accommodation pickup and drop off, personal driver/guide,  private transportation, visits up to 4 wineries, wine tastings, lunch (choice of main course at either Waipara Springs or Waipara Hills), and the opportunity to walk through a vineyard.
