Discovery Travel Ltd is a small, family-owned business operated by John and Jo McDermott in Christchurch, New Zealand. We are both from different specialties originally, John was a lawyer and I was a nurse.  After living in Europe for 10 years we headed home and we established a New Zealand tourism business, based in Christchurch in 1998.  We now have one daughter who drives for us on occasions and another daughter who is great with the accounts and social media , which is fantastic.  We have yet to employ our son, but never say never! We also have some very capable professional tour guides and drivers, making up a great team of people, who will give you the very best service, value and quality travel.
